Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Robert Rauschenberg could be acquired at Artcurial in Paris in October last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Robert William Burke auction, the work Untitled San Lazzaro Island, Venice - 1996 changed hands for EUR 1,312.00 - missing the lower end of the estimate range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Rauschenberg achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Buffalo Ii in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 88,805,000.00 (€ 79,652,883.67).
