Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Artcurial in Paris held the auction Post-War & Contemporary Art - Evening Sale, which included the work Untitled - 1969 by Robert Ryman. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 280,000.00 – 350,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 286,000.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Robert Ryman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of USD 20,141,250.00 (€ 18,769,220.02).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art - Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled - 1969 von Robert Ryman zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 280.000,00 – 350.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 286.000,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Robert Ryman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.141.250,00 (€ 18.769.220,02).
