This artwork by Robert Ryman achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in November 2021. In the The Macklowe Collection auction, the work without title sold for USD 4,860,000.00 (€ 4,305,838.58) - well above the upper estimate of USD 2,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Robert Ryman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in May last year with an auction result of USD 20,141,250.00 (€ 18,769,220.02).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Robert Ryman erzielte im November 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Macklowe Collection wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 4.860.000,00 (€ 4.305.838,58) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 2.500.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Robert Ryman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 20.141.250,00 (€ 18.769.220,02).
