Auction result well in line with expectations
In January this year Bonhams held the auction Prints & Multiples | Live Online, which included the work American Indian Theme IV, from the American Indian Theme by Roy Lichtenstein. The price achieved of USD 6,375.00 (€ 5,871.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Roy Lichtenstein achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nurse in November 2015 with an auction result of USD 95,365,000.00 (€ 90,290,664.65).
