This artwork by Saint Clair Cemin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in November 2011. In the Latin America auction, the work without title sold for USD 18,750.00 (€ 13,937.41) - well above the upper estimate of USD 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Saint Clair Cemin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Untitled (Large Table) in November 2004 with an auction result of USD 95,600.00 (€ 72,101.97).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Saint Clair Cemin erzielte im November 2011 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Latin America wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für USD 18.750,00 (€ 13.937,41) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Saint Clair Cemin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Untitled (Large Table) im November 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 95.600,00 (€ 72.101,97).
