Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Salman Toor achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in June 2021. In the Modern & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work without title sold for GBP 315,000.00 (€ 367,056.89) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Salman Toor - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 4 Guests, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 856,800.00 (€ 829,991.28).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Salman Toor erzielte im Juni 2021 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art Evening Sale wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für GBP 315.000,00 (€ 367.056,89) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Salman Toor mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 4 Guests beobachtet, die im November letzten Jahres für USD 856.800,00 (€ 829.991,28) versteigert wurde.
