Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in London held the auction Prints and Multiples, which included the work Carmen by Salvador Dalí. The price achieved of GBP 19,125.00 (€ 22,217.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvador Dalí achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Paul Éluard in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 13,481,250.00 (€ 15,879,784.58).
