Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Panem nostrum quotidianum da nobis hodie by Salvador Dalí was sold in the Impressionist and Modern Art Day and Works on Paper Sale auction at Christies in London in June last year. The price achieved of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,492.66) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvador Dalí achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Paul Éluard in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 13,481,250.00 (€ 15,879,784.58).
