Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Woman with a Head of Roses by Salvador Dalí was auctioned at Bonhams in New York in November last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,462.50 (€ 4,322.87) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Salvador Dalí achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait De Paul Éluard in February 2011 with an auction result of GBP 13,481,250.00 (€ 15,879,784.58).
