The work Rock Collection by Shara Hughes was sold in the Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 2,016,000.00 (€ 251,555.38), 68% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shara Hughes achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Spins from Swiss in May last year with an auction result of USD 2,940,000.00 (€ 2,739,726.03).

Die Arbeit Rock Collection von Shara Hughes wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 2.016.000,00 (€ 251.555,38) und damit 68% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shara Hughes erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Spins from Swiss im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.940.000,00 (€ 2.739.726,03).
