Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2020 Christies in New York held the auction Photographs, which included the work Untitled (Rapture Series), 1999 by Shirin Neshat. It changed hands for a price of USD 17,500.00 (€ 14,934.29) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Shirin Neshat achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Passage in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 269,000.00 (€ 214,684.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Untitled (Rapture Series), 1999 von Shirin Neshat zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 17.500,00 (€ 14.934,29) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Shirin Neshat erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Passage im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 269.000,00 (€ 214.684,76).
