Auction result misses estimated price range
In May last year a collector was able to acquire the work Filzschleife by Sigmar Polke for USD 950,000.00 (€ 885,285.62). This price was achieved in the auction The Collection of Thomas and Doris Ammann Evening Sale at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 1,500,000.00 – 2,000,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sigmar Polke achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Dschungel (Jungle) in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 27,130,000.00 (€ 24,677,096.60).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Filzschleife von Sigmar Polke für USD 950.000,00 (€ 885.285,62) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Collection of Thomas and Doris Ammann Evening Sale bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.500.000,00 – 2.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sigmar Polke erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Dschungel (Jungle) im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 27.130.000,00 (€ 24.677.096,60).
