Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2019 Phillips in London held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Simon Helps (V) by Frank Bowling. The price achieved of GBP 100,000.00 (€ 115,992.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Admittedly, works by Frank Bowling have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Beggar No. 3 in June 2019 with an auction result of GBP 695,250.00 (€ 781,564.11).
