Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of Henrietta, Mrs. John Parish (1745-1810), three-quarter-length, seated in a landscape, wearing a white dress with a green shawl and gloves by Henry Raeburn was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 30,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 32,500.00 (€ 38,617.03) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Henry Raeburn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Portrait of Sir Evan Murray-MacGregor of MacGregor, 2nd Bt., K.C.B., K.C.H., 19th Chief of Clan Gregor, as a boy (1785-1841), full-length, in tartan, in a landscape in July 2014 with an auction result of GBP 458,500.00 (€ 578,312.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of Henrietta, Mrs. John Parish (1745-1810), three-quarter-length, seated in a landscape, wearing a white dress with a green shawl and gloves von Henry Raeburn kam im Juli 2016 bei Christies in London zur Auktion.
