Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Sonia Delaunay achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in March last year. In the (Women) Artists auction, the work Projet de couverture d’album No.1 sold for GBP 176,400.00 (€ 209,142.05) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Sonia Delaunay have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Prismes électriques in October 2017 with an auction result of EUR 1,567,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Sonia Delaunay erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion (Women) Artists wurde die Arbeit Projet de couverture d’album No.1 für GBP 176.400,00 (€ 209.142,05) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Sonia Delaunay auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Prismes électriques im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 1.567.500,00.
