Auction result well in line with expectations
In November last year Phillips in an online auction held the auction Wired: Online Auction, which included the work Vivisection Pink by Sterling Ruby. The price achieved of GBP 5,040.00 (€ 5,840.21) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Sterling Ruby achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Sp231 in May 2013 with an auction result of USD 1,785,000.00 (€ 1,374,345.55).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November letzten Jahres führte Phillips in einer Online-Auktion die Auktion Wired: Online Auction durch, in der auch die Arbeit Vivisection Pink von Sterling Ruby zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.040,00 (€ 5.840,21) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Sterling Ruby erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Sp231 im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 1.785.000,00 (€ 1.374.345,55).
