In January this year Phillips in London held the auction Evening & Day Editions, which included the work A Sketch of Anywhere Door (Dokodemo Door) and an Excellent Day; and We Can Go Anywhere With Mr Fujiko F. Fujio And The Time Machine! by Takashi Murakami. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,435.54), 62% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Takashi Murakami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Lonesome Cowboy in May 2008 with an auction result of USD 15,161,000.00 (€ 9,743,573.26).

Im Januar diesen Jahres führte Phillips in London die Auktion Evening & Day Editions durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Sketch of Anywhere Door (Dokodemo Door) and an Excellent Day; and We Can Go Anywhere With Mr Fujiko F. Fujio And The Time Machine! von Takashi Murakami zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.435,54) und damit 62% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Takashi Murakami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Lonesome Cowboy im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 15.161.000,00 (€ 9.743.573,26).
