In November 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale, which included the work People Strolling In A Park In Paris by Vincent van Gogh. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,717,700.00 (€ 8,819,039.84), 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Vincent van Gogh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Verger avec cyprès in November last year with an auction result of USD 117,180,000.00 (€ 113,513,513.51).

Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit People Strolling In A Park In Paris von Vincent van Gogh zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.717.700,00 (€ 8.819.039,84) und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Vincent van Gogh erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Verger avec cyprès im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 117.180.000,00 (€ 113.513.513,51).
