Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Benjamin's Emblem by Walton Ford was auctioned at Phillips in New York in July 2020. The price achieved of USD 13,750.00 (€ 11,678.27) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Walton Ford achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bitter Gulfs in May 2014 with an auction result of USD 1,445,000.00 (€ 1,059,384.16).
