The work Ullock Pike, Skiddaw by William Lakin Turner was sold in the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL PICTURES auction at Christies in London in February 2005. The price achieved of GBP 540.00 (€ 783.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Lakin Turner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Mist and loch, which sold at auction in September 2002 for GBP 1,762.50 (€ 2,801.02).
