Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Gray Cliff - Conanicut by William Trost Richards was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2017. Here, the upper estimate of USD 25,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 27,500.00 (€ 25,240.94). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Trost Richards achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mackerel Cove, Jamestown, Rhode Island in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 1,650,500.00 (€ 1,148,094.05).
