Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wu Guanzhong achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in October last year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Childhood Memory sold for HKD 2,040,000.00 (€ 261,417.35) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 800,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zhou Village in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000,000.00 (€ 26,588,934.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wu Guanzhong erzielte im Oktober letzten Jahres bei POLY einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Childhood Memory für HKD 2.040.000,00 (€ 261.417,35) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 800.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guanzhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Zhou Village im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000.000,00 (€ 26.588.934,53).
