Auction result well in line with expectations
In July last year POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Cottage In Jiang Nan by Wu Guanzhong. It changed hands for a price of HKD 1,860,000.00 (€ 232,089.79) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 1,000,000.00 – 2,000,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zhou Village in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000,000.00 (€ 26,588,934.53).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Cottage In Jiang Nan von Wu Guanzhong zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 1.860.000,00 (€ 232.089,79) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 1.000.000,00 – 2.000.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guanzhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Zhou Village im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000.000,00 (€ 26.588.934,53).
