Upper estimate price exceeded by 26 %.
The work Night of Hong Kong by Wu Guanzhong was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. It achieved a price of HKD 126,000.00 (€ 15,722.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 26%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zhou Village in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000,000.00 (€ 26,588,934.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 26 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Night of Hong Kong von Wu Guanzhong kam im Juli letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 126.000,00 (€ 15.722,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 26%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guanzhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Zhou Village im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000.000,00 (€ 26.588.934,53).
