In April last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work The Dazhu River of Sichuan by Wu Guanzhong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 3,024,000.00 (€ 365,623.61), 51% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zhou Village in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000,000.00 (€ 26,588,934.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 51 % übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Dazhu River of Sichuan von Wu Guanzhong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 3.024.000,00 (€ 365.623,61) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wu Guanzhong erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Zhou Village im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000.000,00 (€ 26.588.934,53).
