Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July last year Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern Discoveries | Rare & Limited, which included the work Three Beauties by Wu Guanzhong. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 44,100.00 (€ 5,502.77). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wu Guanzhong achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Zhou Village in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000,000.00 (€ 26,588,934.53).
