Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In July last year POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale, which included the work Warm Spring in the Mountain Village by Wu Guanzhong. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 28,200,000.00 (€ 3,518,780.63), 18% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Wu Guanzhong have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Zhou Village in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 236,000,000.00 (€ 26,588,934.53).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juli letzten Jahres führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Evening Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Warm Spring in the Mountain Village von Wu Guanzhong zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 28.200.000,00 (€ 3.518.780,63) und damit 18% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wu Guanzhong auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Zhou Village im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 236.000.000,00 (€ 26.588.934,53).
