Auction result well in line with expectations
The work I Carry on Living with the Pumpkins by Yayoi Kusama was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in November this year. The price achieved of HKD 17,010,000 (€ 2,613,492) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as HKD 13,800,000 - 18,800,000. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Yayoi Kusama - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled (Nets), which sold at auction in May this year for USD 10,496,000 (€ 9,781,008).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit I Carry on Living with the Pumpkins von Yayoi Kusama kam im November diesen Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 17.010.000 (€ 2.613.492) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 13.800.000 – 18.800.000 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled (Nets) beobachtet, die im Mai diesen Jahres für USD 10.496.000 (€ 9.781.008) versteigert wurde.
