Auction result well in line with expectations
In November this year Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts held the auction Modern & Contemporary Art, which included the work Six Yellow Pumpkins by Yayoi Kusama. The price achieved of USD 2,295 (€ 2,006) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been given by the auction house as USD 2,000 - 3,000. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Yayoi Kusama achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Nets) in May this year with an auction result of USD 10,496,000 (€ 9,781,008).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in Skinner Marlborough, Massachusetts die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Six Yellow Pumpkins von Yayoi Kusama zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.295 (€ 2.006) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000 – 3.000 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Yayoi Kusama erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Untitled (Nets) im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 10.496.000 (€ 9.781.008).
