Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hortensias (Hydrangeas) by Zao Wou-Ki was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in April last year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 37,800.00 (€ 4,570.30) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 24,000.00 – 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zao Wou-Ki achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 29.09.64. in May last year with an auction result of HKD 278,000,000.00 (€ 33,004,566.21).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Hortensias (Hydrangeas) von Zao Wou-Ki kam im April letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 37.800,00 (€ 4.570,30) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 24.000,00 – 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zao Wou-Ki erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 29.09.64. im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 278.000.000,00 (€ 33.004.566,21).
