CLAIRE TABOURET (B. 1981) Self-Portrait (Blue) digital print in colours, 2021, on wove paper, signed and numbered 7/75 in pencil (there were also twenty artist's proofs), published by Almine Rech Editions, Brussels Image 800 x 644 mm. Sheet 898 x 744 mm.

In March this year Christies in London held the auction Contemporary Edition: London, which included the work Self-Portrait (Blue) by Claire Tabouret. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,394.00 (€ 2,723.64), 60% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Claire Tabouret achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Last Day in March 2021 with an auction result of GBP 622,500.00 (€ 731,277.14).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 60 % übertroffen
Im März diesen Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Contemporary Edition: London durch, in der auch die Arbeit Self-Portrait (Blue) von Claire Tabouret zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.394,00 (€ 2.723,64) und damit 60% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Claire Tabouret erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Last Day im März 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 622.500,00 (€ 731.277,14).
