In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction, the work Puzzling Times changed hands for USD 877,000.00 (€ 777,000.09) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by David Hammons have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2013 with an auction result of USD 8,005,000.00 (€ 5,883,433.78).
