Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Quinn by Jordan Casteel was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale auction at Phillips in London in April 2021. It achieved a price of GBP 233,100.00 (€ 268,132.82), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Jordan Casteel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Crockett Brothers, which sold at auction in November 2021 for USD 806,500.00 (€ 714,538.85).

Die Arbeit Quinn von Jordan Casteel wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Evening Sale bei Phillips in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 233.100,00 (€ 268.132,82) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Jordan Casteel mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Crockett Brothers beobachtet, die im November 2021 für USD 806.500,00 (€ 714.538,85) versteigert wurde.
