Auction result misses estimated price range
In March this year a collector was able to acquire the work 6lack - Free 6lack by Amoako Boafo for GBP 1,512.00 (€ 1,720.19). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Edition: London at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Amoako Boafo achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hands Up in December 2021 with an auction result of HKD 26,650,000.00 (€ 3,018,669.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit 6lack - Free 6lack von Amoako Boafo für GBP 1.512,00 (€ 1.720,19) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Edition: London bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Amoako Boafo erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hands Up im Dezember 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 26.650.000,00 (€ 3.018.669,38).
