Julia Rhizoma

For the Art.Salon Julia shares some of her multi-layered writs and drawings that show a time-based process with various perceptions and questions.

In a world in which permanent information overflows, time never seems enough and confusion is an obvious fact, Julia Rhizoma patiently dedicates her artistic process to philosophy, visual poetry and performative rituals. Repetitive words, symbols, fragmented texts and entire books are transcribed into multi-layered handwritings. The original information can only be read and perceived as a flickering imaginative space unfolding in front of our eyes as a symbol of an unknown, invisible, unspeakable and non-reachable truth.

Julia Rhizoma lives and works in between Chile and Germany. Her works have been shown in various international group and solo exhibitions.
