In October 2018 Christies in London held the auction Middle Eastern, Modern and Contemporary Art, which included the work An Ear of Mud, An Ear of Paste by Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 584,750.00 (€ 659,417.60), 30% above the upper estimate. Other works by Abdul Hadi El-Gazzar have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of USD 1,023,750.00 (€ 743,086.30) in March 2014 for the work Construction Of The Suez Canal.
