Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Dutch Ships On Choppy Coastal Waters By A Spit Of Land With A Beacon by Abraham Storck was sold in the Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale auction at Sothebys in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 11,875.00 (€ 16,834.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Abraham Storck achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Capricci of Mediterranean ports: the first with the monument of the Four Moors of Leghorn; the second with a monument of Abundance in July 2000 with an auction result of GBP 443,750.00 (€ 717,537.91).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Dutch Ships On Choppy Coastal Waters By A Spit Of Land With A Beacon von Abraham Storck wurde im Juli 2015 in der Auktion Old Master & British Paintings Day Sale bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Capricci of Mediterranean ports: the first with the monument of the Four Moors of Leghorn; the second with a monument of Abundance im Juli 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 443.750,00 (€ 717.537,91).
