Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a gentleman, half-length, with black neck tie and brown coat by Adam Buck was auctioned at Christies in London in May 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 700.00 – 1,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 717.00 (€ 1,075.76) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Adam Buck have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Naval Officer holding his sword under his right arm, facing right in blue coat with black facings, yellow trousers, frilled cravat and black stock, powdered hair en queue in May 2002 with an auction result of GBP 5,975.00 (€ 9,356.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen

Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 700,00 – 1.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 717,00 (€ 1.075,76) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
