The work A beach scene in Bali by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès was sold in the Southeast Asian Modern and Contemporary Art auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2008. It changed hands for a price of HKD 3,367,500.00 (€ 277,234.42) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 2,400,000.00 – 3,500,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Women Around the Lotus Pond in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 30,360,000.00 (€ 3,509,054.33).

Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Women Around the Lotus Pond im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.360.000,00 (€ 3.509.054,33).
