Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2013. In the Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian auction, the work Balinese Maidens sold for HKD 600,000.00 (€ 56,936.88) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 280,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Women Around the Lotus Pond in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 30,360,000.00 (€ 3,509,054.33).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès erzielte im Oktober 2013 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian wurde die Arbeit Balinese Maidens für HKD 600.000,00 (€ 56.936,88) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 280.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Women Around the Lotus Pond im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.360.000,00 (€ 3.509.054,33).
