Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Village Girls by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July 2020. The price achieved of HKD 5,455,000.00 (€ 597,668.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 4,000,000.00 – 6,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Women Around the Lotus Pond in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 30,360,000.00 (€ 3,509,054.33).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Village Girls von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès kam im Juli 2020 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 5.455.000,00 (€ 597.668,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 4.000.000,00 – 6.000.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Adrien-Jean Le Mayeur De Merprès auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Women Around the Lotus Pond im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 30.360.000,00 (€ 3.509.054,33).
