Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2016 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art, which included the work Lelehan Emas Pada Relief Gunungan (Drips Of Gold Upon The Relief Of A Mountain) by Ahmad Sadali. The price achieved of HKD 437,500.00 (€ 49,290.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 350,000.00 – 550,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ahmad Sadali achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Composition with Orange Background in April last year with an auction result of HKD 5,292,000.00 (€ 639,841.32).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2016 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lelehan Emas Pada Relief Gunungan (Drips Of Gold Upon The Relief Of A Mountain) von Ahmad Sadali zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 437.500,00 (€ 49.290,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 350.000,00 – 550.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ahmad Sadali erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Composition with Orange Background im April letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 5.292.000,00 (€ 639.841,32).
