It achieved a price of USD 68,750.00 (€ 63,692.79), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 38%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Albrecht Dürer achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Christ Being Nailed To The Cross in January 2016 with an auction result of USD 874,000.00 (€ 806,868.54).

Die Arbeit Knight, Death and the Devil von Albrecht Dürer wurde im Januar 2017 in der Auktion Old Master Prints bei Christies in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 68.750,00 (€ 63.692,79) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 38%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Albrecht Dürer erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Christ Being Nailed To The Cross im Januar 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 874.000,00 (€ 806.868,54).
