The work Noli Me Tangere by Alessandro Allori was sold in the Renaissance auction at Christies in New York in January 2014. The price achieved of USD 485,000.00 (€ 359,259.26) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 400,000.00 – 600,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Alessandro Allori - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Holy Family With The Infant Saint John The Baptist, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 557,600.00 (€ 828,164.71).
