Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alfred Kubin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Der letzte König in December 2020 with an auction result of USD 525,000.00 (€ 429,272.28).

Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.750,00 (€ 1.927,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 46%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alfred Kubin erzielen.
