Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A grey with donkeys and chickens in a barn by Alfred Wheeler was auctioned at Christies in London in October 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,672.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Alfred Wheeler have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Diamond Jubilee with jockey up by a post in November 2002 with an auction result of GBP 9,799.00 (€ 15,344.73).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A grey with donkeys and chickens in a barn von Alfred Wheeler kam im Oktober 2002 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.672,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
