Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2001 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH & CONTINENTAL PICTURES, which included the work A French Engineer by Alphonse de Neuville. The price achieved of GBP 940.00 (€ 1,500.48) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Alphonse de Neuville achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Salute in October 2008 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,497.71).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH & CONTINENTAL PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit A French Engineer von Alphonse de Neuville zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 940,00 (€ 1.500,48) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Alphonse de Neuville erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Salute im Oktober 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 34.497,71).
