This artwork by André Lhote achieved an unexpectedly high price at Artcurial in Paris in November last year. In the Didier Ludot & Félix Farrington Collection auction, the work Le porte drapeau sold for EUR 787.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 400.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by André Lhote achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La danse au bar (Gypsy Bar) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 2,729,000.00 (€ 1,857,979.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 97 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von André Lhote erzielte im November letzten Jahres bei Artcurial in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Didier Ludot & Félix Farrington Collection wurde die Arbeit Le porte drapeau für EUR 787,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 400,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von André Lhote erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La danse au bar (Gypsy Bar) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.729.000,00 (€ 1.857.979,30).
