Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Orpheus and Eurydice; and Jupiter, in the guise of Diana, and Callisto by Angelika Kauffmann was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2015. The price achieved of GBP 206,500.00 (€ 292,747.64) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Admittedly, works by Angelika Kauffmann have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Portrait Of Mary May (1745-1824) With Her Three Daughters; And Portrait Of Joseph May (1730-1796) With Their Three Sons in December 2013 with an auction result of GBP 1,106,500.00 (€ 1,330,947.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Orpheus and Eurydice; and Jupiter, in the guise of Diana, and Callisto von Angelika Kauffmann kam im Juli 2015 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 206.500,00 (€ 292.747,64) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 150.000,00 – 250.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Angelika Kauffmann auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Portrait Of Mary May (1745-1824) With Her Three Daughters; And Portrait Of Joseph May (1730-1796) With Their Three Sons im Dezember 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.106.500,00 (€ 1.330.947,89).
