Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico by Ansel Adams was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in February last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 504,000.00 (€ 449,037.78) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Ansel Adams have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in December 2020 the work The Grand Tetons and the Snake River, Grand Teton National Park, Wyoming was auctioned for USD 988,000.00 (€ 807,849.55).

Die Arbeit Moonrise, Hernandez, New Mexico von Ansel Adams kam im Februar letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 504.000,00 (€ 449.037,78) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
